There is something so special and magical about maternity sessions. It’s the beginning of a whole new adventure with your loved one (especially if its your first babe) and this Carlsbad Maternity session was one for the books! The glow, not only from the sun shining, but from this mama to be was perfection.

We started at the most magical tree where the light just so happened to be peeking through PERFECTLY!

This location in Carlsbad at the San Elijo Lagoon is ideal because it has the most beautiful pathway with just the right amount of greenery, field scenery and water in the distance.

We had to stop and take advantage of this amazing tree we found towards the end of the path! It was heaven on earth, literally beautiful.

I am always a huge fan of bringing your fur baby to the shoot, I mean, they are a part of your family so why not include them in some of the photos.

We ended the shoot with some beauitful portraits of the mama to be. As we were leaving, the light was magically reflecting off of the lagoon and we had to capture it! The dreamy light was such a sweet way to end the session!
