The history at The Fillmore on Central plays such a big role in the uniqueness of the venue. The amazing architecture of the building was from the 1920’s and resembles a lot of the design and feel of the buildings that were prevalent in that era. It has a very mission style feel to it, somewhat similar to what churches and historic buildings looked like back in the day. The Spanish flair seen through various tile work around the building and inside the building are gorgeous and create such a richness to the venue. Another amazing thing about The Fillmore on Central is the quaintness of the town where it is located. Fillmore is home to rich agriculture, small town charm and fresh sunny weather all year round.

YOU CAN MAKE IT YOUR OWN:

The thing I loved most about this venue is that you can make it your own or keep it simple. When creating a wedding esthetic, you are stuck with the colors that are throughout the venue, but at The Fillmore on Central you are able to make it your own since all of the walls are crisp, clean and white as well as the exteriors. On the other hand, because it has such history and is so timeless you could also get away with keeping it simple with white florals and white linens. Having the option to go all out or as simple as you want is priceless.

THE VENUE HAS A GORGEOUS CEREMONY SITE:

The green grassed courtyard makes for the perfect spot to wed. Below is a picture without any decor or chairs, but if you check out their site here you can see what it also looks like done up perfectly. This spot is so versatile that you could also use it for cocktail hour or a perfect family photo location! I again love that it’s simple and timeless allowing for so much flexibility in the design of your wedding.

THE VENUE HAS SO MANY PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES:

The area surrounding the venue is so charming and would make for the sweetest bride and groom photos. Not only that but the architecture on the exterior of the building is so classic and would also make for the perfect backdrop of any photo, something not every venue has to offer. There are so many perfect little corners throughout, like the beautiful black door against the bright white building (see below), I can envision so many amazing photos there!

THE BRIDAL SUITE HAS SO MANY OPTIONS:

Some challenges photographers have at certain wedding venues or at hotels where the bridal party is getting ready is the size and look of the bridal suite or grooms suite. For photos, the best situation is to have good lighting with nice windows to let it in as well as furniture that doesn’t stand out and take away from the main subject (the bride, groom and bridal party). At The Fillmore on Central, the bridal suites are the perfect place for getting ready with ample room and space as well as a clean timeless feel. You can even add a couple of arrangements to give it the feel of your specific design for your day. I absolutely loved it and think it makes such a difference with your final gallery and having a space to relax and breathe before walking down the aisle.
